Charleston County, S.C. – In a shocking turn of events, a man has lost his life in what authorities are now investigating as a homicide. The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office is putting all the effort into getting to the bottom of this disturbing situation.
The victim has been identified as Jadin Hernandez-Delcid, a 37-year-old resident of North Charleston. According to Charleston County Coroner Bobbi Jo O’Neal, Jadin tragically passed away at approximately 7:24 p.m. on Sunday evening due to multiple sharp-force injuries. It’s hard to believe that such violence could occur in a community that many consider home.
Deputies first received a call about a fight at Jadin’s residence located in the 2100 block of Hayne Street around 8:30 p.m. Sunday. They arrived on the scene to find a situation that had escalated to a life-threatening level. What’s puzzling is that the deputies had been called to the same location just five hours earlier, where there was an altercation between two men living together in the house.
In that earlier incident, fortunately, neither man wanted to press charges against the other, which left the deputies with no choice but to leave. Little did anyone know that just hours later, the situation would turn much more tragic.
When deputies arrived for the second call, it was far too late to help Jadin. Authorities quickly determined that the suspect had fled the scene, leaving behind a sense of unease and fear in the community. At this stage, no arrests have been made, which has left many residents on edge.
According to the spokesperson for the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office, Lexi Douglas, the investigation is very much active and ongoing. Detectives are pouring over details, trying to piece together exactly what happened leading up to that fatal encounter.
The sheriff’s office is actively reaching out to the community for help. If you know anything about this tragic incident, authorities urge you to get in touch with the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office at 843-202-1700. Every little bit of information could be a key piece in solving this case and bringing some peace to Jadin’s grieving family and friends.
As Charleston County grapples with this sad news, it is crucial for residents to come together as a community. Such incidents can genuinely shake the sense of safety and security we all cherish. While it’s hard to imagine how something so tragic could happen right next door, this can serve as a reminder for all of us to look out for one another.
In the face of adversity, the strength of community ties is vital. Sharing information and supporting one another helps build a stronger, safer environment for everyone. Let’s all hope for clarity and justice in this sad situation, as the investigation continues.
