CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston baseball team secured a convincing 4-0 victory over Wofford in the series opener today. The game, which took place at Patriots Park, saw the Cougars deliver an impressive performance both offensively and defensively.
One of the standout performances of the day came from sophomore pitcher Jake Brink, who delivered a gem on the mound. Brink pitched eight shutout innings, allowing only three hits and two walks, while striking out four batters. His stellar performance was instrumental in securing the win for the Cougars.
The Cougars’ offense was firing on all cylinders, with several players stepping up to contribute to the victory. Cole Singsank set the tone early with a home run in the second inning, his fourth of the season. JD Suarez and Avery Neaves also made key contributions with timely hits that drove in crucial runs.
Several players stood out for the Cougars in the victory. In addition to his home run, Cole Singsank scored two runs and finished the game 2-for-3 at the plate. Avery Neaves also had a strong showing, going 2-for-4 with an RBI double and two runs scored. Will Baumhofer was another standout performer, tallying two hits and a walk.
