The College of Charleston baseball team secured a hard-fought victory on Tuesday as they clashed with Georgia Southern in a midweek matchup at the Eagles’ home turf. The Cougars displayed their offensive prowess with a stellar performance that featured key home runs and clutch hits to seal an 8-6 win over their opponents.
Early Lead and Power Hitting
The game kicked off with the Eagles taking an early lead in the bottom of the 1st inning with a sac-fly, but the Cougars wasted no time in responding. Luke Wood’s two-run homer in the top of the second inning propelled Charleston into the lead, setting the tone for the rest of the game. Cole Singsank added to the power hitting display with a solo homer in the third inning to extend the Cougars’ lead.
