Prepare to be awestruck as you walk through the stunning Cistern Yard, where a phenomenal 46,490 lights will twinkle brightly throughout the month-long event. From the moment you step foot in this beautifully decorated yard, you’ll be greeted by a captivating show that runs every night from 5:30 PM until 9 PM! Want to mark the occasion with family and friends? The light show runs every half hour until January 2, 2025, giving you plenty of time to witness the magic!
The executive vice president for student affairs, Alicia Caudill, joyfully states that “The Cougar Night Lights are our joyful gift to the College and Charleston community.” It’s clear that this event is all about bringing people together in a stunning setting and spreading the cheer during this festive time of the year.
What makes this event even more special? The creative mastermind behind the light show is none other than John Reynolds, a College of Charleston alumnus and an Emmy Award-winning lighting designer.
