CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. – Administrators with the Charleston County School District (CCSD) will be at North Charleston City Hall Thursday afternoon to make a presentation on the district’s investments into North Charleston schools.
The presentation will take place during the North Charleston Committee of the Whole meeting on May 16 at 5:30 p.m.
The presentation is being made amid calls from North Charleston residents to break away from the CCSD and form an independent school district. The state of the CCSD facilities in North Charleston has long been a point of contention for the city.
North Charleston parents have been grappling with school facility upgrades and district autonomy, leading to discussions about potential changes in the education system.
Stay tuned for updates following the presentation at North Charleston City Hall as administrators address community concerns and outline the district’s efforts to improve education facilities in the area.
