Breeze Airways expands its flight routes adding a new, nonstop service from Charleston to Stewart-Newburgh, New York. The announcement, shared by the airline on February 19, 2024, confirms that the flights will operate twice a week, taking off and landing on Mondays and Fridays.
The new flight route aims to broaden the travel options for Lowcountry residents.
Speaking about the new route, Elliott Summey, Executive Director and CEO of Charleston International Airport, said, “We are pleased to offer Lowcountry travelers direct service to Newburgh, New York.” Summey believes that this move to serve Downstate New York’s Hudson Valley region is a significant development. He emphasizes Breeze’s commitment to catering to markets that receive fewer services, thereby strengthening local connections.
Breeze Airways has established itself as one of the Top 5 Best U.S. Airlines for the second consecutive year, as per the Travel + Leisure readers. The airline is popular for its guest-friendly services which include both bundled and a la carte options, referred to in the airline terms as Nice, Nicer, and Nicest, enriching the flight experience on its Airbus A220-300 flights.
With the addition of this route, Breeze Airways now operates flights to 24 destinations from Charleston. Reflecting on this accomplishment, David Neeleman, Breeze Airways’ CEO and founder, expressed his delight. Neeleman highlighted Charleston’s significance as a major base for the airline from its initial day of operations.
He further noted the added convenience for locals with this service, “Now, Charleston area residents can have fast, affordable, and convenient service to three airports in the greater New York City area.”
As Breeze Airways continues to expand it’s slate of services and reach more corners of the country, passengers can look forward to a bouquet of travel options opening up. The newly added nonstop flight from Charleston to Stewart-Newburgh, N.Y signifies the commitment of Breeze Airways to bring convenient flight services to underrepresented regions while providing top-notch flight experience to its guests.
