Breeze Airways Announces New Flight Route from Charleston to New England Destination

In a statement released on February 28, 2024, Breeze Airways declared their continued expansion plan with the introduction of a new service route. Breeze will now be operating flights from Charleston International Airport (CHS) to Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (MHT). A significant advance for travel enthusiasts and business personnel alike, offering greater convenience and accessibility between the regions.

Charleston Embraces Breeze’s New Service Announcement

Elliott Summey, the Executive Director and CEO of Charleston International Airport commented on the development stating, “Today’s announcement by Breeze Airways is a big win for Charleston International Airport. This new service will allow more Lowcountry travellers the opportunity to experience all Manchester, New Hampshire, and the New England region has to offer.”

Summey also expressed enthusiasm about the reciprocal tourism prospects, “We look forward to welcoming the people of Manchester and showing them the beautiful places the Holy City of Charleston has to offer.”

Breeze Airways’ Expansion Plan in Charleston

As per the press release, the new route to Manchester-Boston Regional Airport will be operational twice a week, specifically on Mondays and Fridays, starting from June 14. This addition marks the third new service announced by Breeze in Charleston for the month. The airline will service the route using their Airbus A220-300 aircraft.

A Note from Breeze Airways’ President

Breeze Airways’ President Tom Doxey shared his insight into the development, “Charleston has been one of our fastest growing cities across the network, and this new underserved route will be another great connection between CHS and the Northeast. As we continue to grow in the Lowcountry, we are happy to bring the community more affordable, convenient and nice service.”

Breeze Airways’ Role in Charleston’s Tourism

Ever since its launch at Charleston International in 2021, Breeze Airways has time and again showcased their commitment towards expanding their network of destinations served from this airport. Expressing his gratitude towards this commitment, Dan Blumenstock, board chair of Explore Charleston, stated, “Thanks to this partnership, we’re expanding our route map to the Granite State. The Northeast is an important market for our industry, and we’re confident this route will also serve Charleston area residents desiring travel to that part of New England.”

Implications of the New Route

This new service to the Manchester-Boston Regional Airport is not just beneficial for travellers, but it also holds economic implications for the regions. It will boost tourism, fuel businesses, and contribute to the local economies. In summary, this development is not just a win for Charleston International Airport, but a significant step towards a more interconnected travel network across the country.
