College of Charleston fifth-year guard Jenna Annecchiarico has been named the CAA Player of the Week after an all-around performance at UNCW on Sunday afternoon. Annecchiarico tallied her eighth 20-point performance this season, leading Charleston to its third straight win and sixth in the past seven tries.
The redshirt senior poured in 26 points on 10-of-15 shooting, including two three-point makes in a 97-58 victory at UNCW. The 10 field goals mark a season high for Annecchiarico, who had an all-around performance by adding six rebounds, five steals, and four assists.
The Cougars’ point guard has at least one steal in every game this season, with five or more on five occasions, ranking 12th nationally in steals per game (3.1). This marks Annecchiarico’s second consecutive Player of the Week honor.
The Cougars travel north this weekend to take on Hofstra and Monmouth.
