Amanda Seyfried Unveils New Venture Amidst Charleston Visit

Beloved Hollywood starlet Amanda Seyfried showcased a new venture during a recent visit to Charleston. Seyfried, renowned for her roles in box-office hits like “Mean Girls” and “Mamma Mia!”, revealed her co-ownership of a sustainable children’s playhouse company, aptly named ‘Make It Cute’. The enterprise is an echo of Seyfried’s expanding endeavors towards eco-friendly parenthood. Over the years, Seyfried has gained recognition not only for her significant contribution to cinema but also for her commitment to leading an environmentally friendly lifestyle.

Familiar Faces, New Roles

Seyfried’s visit to Charleston is not her first time in the city. Fourteen years ago, she co-starred with Channing Tatum in the successful romantic drama ‘Dear John’, filmed predominantly in this historical city. Returning on Saturday, July 11, she was accompanied by her two best friends from childhood, Anne Hoehn and Maureen North, the co-founders of Make It Cute. In the private event, Seyfried took on a new role as an entrepreneur, brimming with enthusiasm and warmth as the children of the guests reveled in the eco-friendly playhouses.

Playhouses with a Purpose

The playhouses offered by the company are unique in their structure, sustainability, and aim. Made of prepainted recycled cardboard, the playhouses come as easily-assembled three-piece sets. With every playhouse sold, a tree is planted, marking a significant leap towards an eco-conscious future. Seyfried’s dedication in merging enjoyable play with environmental awareness is evidence of her commitment to raising her children, aged three and seven, in an earth-friendly manner.

Charleston Hearts Hollywood

The event unveiling the venture was held at the popular retailer Sewing Down South on King Street. The shop is well-known as it is co-owned by Craig Conover of Bravo TV’s “Southern Charm”. The audience was treated to a delightful evening as Seyfried shared stories about filming ‘Dear John’ in Charleston and her favorite childhood memories. She even brought along her adorable seven-year-old daughter, lightening the ambience with her energetic antics around the playhouses. The evening also featured interactions with the stars from “Southern Charm” Rodrigo Reyes and Craig Conover, adding to the Hollywood charm in the heart of Charleston.

Moving Towards a Sustainable Future

The visit marked a significant milestone for Seyfried in cementing her commitment to sustainability while also contributing to a brighter future for our children and the environment. With the success of Make It Cute’s playhouses in Charleston, we can expect to see more such initiatives. Seyfried expressed her gratitude for the city’s role in her career and personal story, promising a return in near future.

As Seyfried continues to make strides in her acting career, accruing accolades like a Golden Globe and a Primetime Emmy in 2023, she also strives to make meaningful advances towards leading a sustainable lifestyle. Her dedication to teaching her children and the world about the importance of making eco-friendly decisions is to be applauded and emulated.
