WHO: Alcove Market, the neighborhood café and specialty market from the luxury hospitality portfolio Easton Porter Group, is excited to team up with award-winning Chef Meherwan Irani of Chai Pani and his spice brand and newest retail shop, Spicewalla, located at 49 John St. in Charleston, SC.
WHAT: This partnership marks the second collaboration for Alcove’s Allstars Smoothie Series – an ongoing initiative aimed to provide guests with unique smoothies by collaborating with like-minded partners from various industries within the Charleston community. Beginning November 1 through the end of the year, Alcove and Spicewalla invite locals and travelers to visit Alcove Market to sample their newest creation, The Gingerbread Smoothie. Designed with the holiday season in mind, The Gingerbread Smoothie is made with Spicewalla’s signature gingerbread blend featuring hints of cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, allspice and clove.
WHY: Founded in Asheville, North Carolina, Spicewalla has deep roots in the Western North Carolina area and was impacted by Hurricane Helene. Alcove Market will donate $1 of every smoothie sold during the series to the Southern Smoke Foundation, a nonprofit organization that supports members and friends of the food & beverage community during times of crisis. Proceeds from The Gingerbread Smoothie will be donated to the foundation, which is aiding over 3,000 applicants seeking support due to Hurricane Helene.
WHEN: The smoothie is available at Alcove Market from November 1 – December 31. Alcove will continue the smoothie series in 2025 and looks forward to announcing the exciting partner line up in the coming months for the year ahead.
