North Charleston, a city in South Carolina, is set to benefit from increased opportunities for affordable homeownership, funded by the American Rescue Plan Act.
The Bridge North Charleston, a nonprofit organization dedicated to neighborhood revitalization initiatives, has completed its flagship undertaking, the North Bridge Townhomes. This project is part of a broader endeavor to tackle the affordable housing crisis confronting the Greater Charleston area.
The construction of the North Bridge Townhomes project, situated at 2312 Meridian Road, was facilitated by the award of $1.5 million in ARPA Gap Funding.
The townhome community features 20 units, available for purchase with up to 100% financing for qualifying buyers. The pricing strategy is designed to accommodate varying income levels, thus extending the ownership opportunity to a broader demography. Furthermore, the property is deed-protected as affordable housing for a century.
North Charleston Mayor Reggie Burgess endorsed the completion of the North Bridge Townhomes as yet another milestone in the city’s commitment to promoting sustainable and affordable homeownership.
Burgess applauded Bridge North Charleston’s staunch dedication to partnering with the community to foster a more robust and inclusive environment, where every resident has an equal opportunity to thrive.
The North Bridge Townhomes development comprises 12 units with two bedrooms and two-and-a-half bathrooms, and an additional eight units sporting three bedrooms and two-and-a-half bathrooms.
Each townhome is outfitted with modern amenities, including an oven and range, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, washer, dryer, and window blinds. Interested parties can reach out to the Exit Realty Lowcountry Group at 843-619-3005 for further information about the townhomes.
Bridge North Charleston will host a grand opening ceremony for the North Bridge Townhomes community on June 27 at 11:30 a.m.
