Seven Women Detained Following Goose Creek Bar Incident Causing Hospitalization of a Police Officer

These women are currently being held pending warrant service as informed by Capt. James Emerson.
Five of the females are facing charges of disorderly conduct and assaulting police, while two are charged solely with disorderly conduct. The specific charges against each individual have yet to be announced by the police.
Circumstances of the Incident
The event took place late Saturday near College Park Road, just outside of Two Keys Tavern. An officer witnessed several women in a physical altercation while on patrol. Upon the officer’s intervention to defuse the situation, one woman reportedly attacked him, according to Chief LJ Roscoe.
In an ensuing chase, the officer attempted to incapacitate a fleeing woman using a Taser, which did not make contact with either the woman or the officer. The officer subsequently went into a non-specified medical condition and collapsed. No bystanders, including staff from the nearby restaurant, rendered assistance to the officer, a fact that Roscoe lamented.
Aftermath of the Incident
The unidentified officer was eventually transported to a local hospital, where he received treatment before being released. Following the incident, the local law enforcement used dashcam and cellphone video footage from witnesses to identify and capture the seven women.
The authorities remain active in their efforts to identify another two women involved in the incident who managed to escape the scene. This particular event was broadcasted on ‘On Patrol Live’ and has been extensively shared on various social media platforms, leading to substantial concern from the public about the wellbeing of the officer.
The Goose Creek Police Department expressed both gratitude for the public empathy and disappointment at the onlookers’ lack of assistance during the incident. They urged the public for more accountability during such instances in their Facebook release.
Chief LJ Roscoe stated that subsequent information will be available once the official report of the event is completed. The police investigation into the case is still ongoing.
