Bilda Bike Set to Open Second Store in North Charleston

In an exciting development for biking enthusiasts, Charleston’s own Bilda Bike is preparing to open a second shop location in North Charleston. Founded fifteen years ago by two college friends from the College of Charleston, the company has experienced significant growth and will install their second location across the Holy City Brewing and CodFather Fish and Chips.

Success Story of Bilda Bike

Bilda Bike is a quintessential success story that has its roots in a humble beginning. The founders started the business in a rental property at 88 Morris St. in downtown Charleston, selling their first hundred bicycles to fellow students back in 2009. Due to the growing demand, they were able to quickly upgrade to a 600-square-foot store located at the junction of St. Philip and Spring streets. This move radiated their presence, garnering more customers and resulting in further expansion. Eventually, they shifted to a larger location at 677 King St where they are currently located.

Danny Einhorn, the founder of Bilda Bike, expressed his excitement about bringing their brand to Park Circle while celebrating 15 successful years in business. He attributes the company’s success to their loyal customer base, which has played a crucial role in facilitating their growth and helping them achieve the sales of 25,000 bicycles.

Uniqueness of Bilda Bike

Standing out from competitors, Bilda Bike has carved a unique position for itself by specializing in customizable bikes which are designed from scratch right in Charleston. The process begins with identifying the ideal bike for the customer’s riding preferences. Once the base model is selected, the customization work starts, and assembled bicycles are delivered to customers on the same day. This unique approach ensures every bike is a perfect fit for the rider.

Second Store in Park Circle, North Charleston

The new Park Circle store aims to be more than just a retail outlet. The shop plans to offer a comprehensive service department dedicated to the repair of all brands of bicycles. In addition, it will feature a large and diverse rental bike fleet to cater to the needs of every kind of rider.

As the bike industry continues to boom, the new store will provide locals and tourists alike another high-quality option for their biking needs. This will not only present a direct boost to the local economy in terms of sales and job creation but also further solidify Charleston’s reputation as a bike-friendly city.

The grand launch of the new Bilda Bike store in Park Circle is planned for May. Biking enthusiasts and general admirers of the brand are poised for the opening day, ready to step inside their second home in North Charleston.
