A total of 216 student-athletes from the College of Charleston have been honored by the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) for their outstanding academic achievements during the 2024 Spring semester. This number represents a new record since the conference began recognizing three different levels of achievement for its athletes.
With a total of 3,876 student-athletes from across the league receiving honors, the CAA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll continues to highlight the dedication and commitment of student-athletes to their academic pursuits. The conference honors student-athletes at three different levels based on their grade point averages.
Student-athletes with a perfect 4.0 GPA were recognized with High Honors with Distinction. Those with GPAs between 3.7 and 4.0 received High Honors, while student-athletes with GPAs between 3.0 and 3.7 were recognized with Honors. The breakdown of honorees includes 668 student-athletes earning High Honors with Distinction, 1,107 achieving High Honors, and 2,101 receiving Honors.
To be named to the Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll, student-athletes must have participated in a CAA-sponsored sport, maintained a minimum GPA of 3.0 during the academic term, and been enrolled as full-time students.
A full list of the 216 Cougars recognized for their academic achievements can be found on the CAA website. The College of Charleston continues to demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence both on the field and in the classroom.
Earlier this year, a total of 214 Cougars were named to the CAA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll for their achievements during the fall semester, underscoring the ongoing dedication of College of Charleston student-athletes to their academic success.
As the College of Charleston Athletics program continues to excel both athletically and academically, these honors serve as a testament to the hard work and commitment of student-athletes, coaches, and academic support staff.
