2024 St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations in the Lowcountry

Early March Parties
The festivities kick-off on March 9 with a host of early events. Enjoy a live performance by singer-songwriter Allen Sweeney at Madra Rua Irish Pub, or join the 20th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Block Party & Parade, touted to be the largest such party in the Lowcountry. This event offers a blend of live music, fantastic food, and kid-friendly attractions.
Hold Your Breath for the Leprechaun 5K
On March 14, prepare to race for the Pot o’ GOLD at the Catch the Leprechaun 5K held at Carolina Park. This family-friendly event invites participants of all ages to don their best green and Irish-themed outfits and join the race.

St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations: March 15, 16 and 17
The weekend-long parties begin with a kick-off to St. Paddy’s with the Stingrays on the 15th. Not only will there be great music, but the event also features attractive drink offers.
The Great St. Patrick’s Day Parade
One of the highlights of the celebration is the St. Patrick’s Day Parade on the 16th. The largest in South Carolina, the parade features an array of participants, from military vehicles and fire trucks to local bands and Irish step dancers.
